U shape glass also called as U glass or channel glass or U profiled glass , is a relatively new type of building material. Its name originated from a cross-section view of 'U' shape. It is produced from mixed batch materials mainly consist of silica sand. Before turning into salable glass, the material has gone through multiple process-melting, forming, annealing and cutting.
U shape glass is a specialty architectural glass for interior and exterior use, distinguishable by its signature linear aesthetic. The u shape glass channels are self-supporting, standing as tall as 23 feet (7 m) in a relatively lightweight ¼" (7mm) thickness. They require minimal framing, creating virtually seamless glass walls that can be hundreds-of-feet-long and can span across elevations.
